During the month of July, a garishly painted flamingo is placed on the property of someone you know, with a placard around the neck with the instructions..."We will be happy to remove this bird from your property and place it on the property of your choice for a recommended donaton of $10". Once the money is collected, the bird is moved to the new property with a "to:" and "from:" card... and so on. The idea is pay it forward for charity!
Sign up your team during the month of June (recommended 4 per team - 1 person is responsible for the team bird per week for the month of July). A launch/bird painting part will be on June 29. Each team will receive a bird and a pledge envelope to collect funds. Be sure to get the names and addresses of your donors so Y.A.N.A. can send out tax receipts! There will be a maximum of 50 teams.
Donations may also be made at the Coldwell Banker office or online here.

What a night!
We surpassed all of our expectations and raised an incredible $37,000!!!!!!!!
A huge thank you to all of the donors and shoppers that supported this event! We were truly overwhelmed by the generosity in this community! Not only did we raise an amazing amount of money but we had so much fun doing it. What an incedible crowd!! Here are some of the highlights from that night.
-
Country Catering treated our tastebuds to a delicious meal and excellent service!
-
Karen McKinnon shared her stunning photography and emotional personal experience of her family's involvement with Y.A.N.A. I don't think that there was a dry eye in the house.
-
Dave Stevens entertained us with his endearing and witty auctioneering expertise. He made the auction so fun to be a part of! Boy, did he raise a lot of money for us!
-
Todd Butler was the perfect finale after a big night of shopping. He had the crowd rolling on the floor with laughter and amazed us all with his incredible musical talent.
Again, thank you to everyone who supported this event. Thank you to our hard working and professional auction team and volunteers who put their whole hearts into the event. Their hard work and dedication was evident in every aspect of the night!
I look forward to seeing you all there next year!
With much gratitude,
Lucy Slater
