YANA hosts a winter gala, a summer biking event, a Christmas campaign and a special initiative through the schools. Each year, there are also many events led by community members in support of local families. We are incredibly grateful for the energy and dedication behind these fundraisers and for everyone who contributes and participates! Beyond raising funds, we aim to raise community awareness, engage community spirit and celebrate all of the love that surrounds YANA.

Event Details
The book “Grumble Goes to the Garage” was born from a place of deep love and hope. When the authors nephew was diagnosed with leukemia, they searched for a way to lift his spirits and stay connected. Grumble, the friendly garbage truck, became their storyteller—a comforting character to help explain the journey of healing in a way that felt safe, joyful, and brave. What started as a story to brighten their nephew’s hospital days soon became a shared light for our whole family. This series will follow the road to recovery through Grumble’s eyes—reminding families that better days are possible, and that even in hardship, there can be moments of magic.
All profits from this book go directly toward supporting families of children with cancer and charities dedicated to doing the same. YANA is one of 2 charity recipients from the sales of this book. Please go to their website www.grumblekids.ca to purchase their books or make a donation.
