Gladstone Brewing is proud to host Love Fest, an all-day celebration marking the annual release of Love Potion Hazy Pale Ale, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Each year, Gladstone brews Dr. Brad’s Love Potion as a reminder that this beer is about far more than great flavour. While fans may already know how delicious this hazy IPA is, its story is what truly sets it apart.
Love Potion began with Dr. Brad Harris — a family physician, husband, and father — who found peace in brewing during his daughter Linden’s cancer journey. In gratitude for the support his family received from YANA (You Are Not Alone) Comox Valley, Brad created a special beer as a way to give back. What started as one small act of love grew into something extraordinary.
Over the years, Love Potion has raised more than $100,000 for YANA and BC Children’s Hospital. Although Brad is no longer with us, his spirit lives on through this beer and through his family, who continue the tradition alongside Gladstone every February. As Brad once said, “It’s not just beer. It’s love.”
This year’s Love Fest brings that love to life with an all-day celebration, where 100% of proceeds from Love Potion sales will be donated to YANA.

Guests are invited to raise a glass of Love Potion, take some home in cans, dance, and celebrate a story built on community, resilience, and love.
