Thank Yous
When you pile in a bunch of volleyball folks with HUGE hearts in a gym what do you get? Ahh-mazingness. The Comox Valley Sports and Social Club challenged the volleyball community to raise money for YANA and fill not one but TWO vans full of items for the Comox Valley Food Bank! How incredible is that. Not only did the players raise $750.00 but the club then matched it to raise the total to $1500!!! Holy heartwarming. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us say “yes” to the families who need it most. 
A very heartfelt thank you to the Arsenault family for their recent donation in appreciation for use of our YANA apartment in Vancouver. The community support through burgers and beer is one that can’t be unmatched. Community love + delicious burgers… where can you go wrong?!
A belly warming thank you to the Comox Valley Pottery Club for donating the proceeds from their annual YANA pottery bowl fundraiser! Our appreciation for your wholehearted donation goes beyond what words can describe, thank you! We feel inspired by your craftsmanship and generosity.
What a way to end a week! Huge thank you to CUPE 556 Courtenay Division for the gracious donation of $500.00! Not only did they give us a HUGE chunk, but they also donated to the Linc Youth Centre, Comox Valley Transition Society, and Children’s Health Foundation! Big smiles to Lana McKenzie on behalf of the Courtenay Municipal Workers for stopping by with the cheque and snagging a photo! We appreciate how hard you all work for your local community!
WOW… WOW… WOW… We are truly speechless. HUGE thank you to the Wiseman family and this incredible community that spooked together this Halloween for a fantastic Haunted Hall of Horrors. Not only did they double last year’s donation, they almost TRIPLED it! Their goal has always been to raise enough to cover one month’s rent of one of our Vancouver apartments at $1285 a month… They were SO proud to say they raised enough to cover 2 months AND THEN SOME this year! Donald, Catherine, and Juliet wanted to also thank YOU all for the fantastic turnout and community support they witnessed this weekend.
Is there anything better than ice cold, homemade lemonade on a hot day? I’m not sure… But one incredibly sweet thing is after 10 years, this family chose to give back through their daughters birthday lemonade stand! Truly heartwarming… your donation makes a difference, one cup at a time!
