Thank Yous

The schools just keep on giving. The Highland Alumni Basketball game over the holidays collected donations to YANA at the door. Glad we stay in people’s hearts even after they leave the Valley.

Many thanks to Loretta Semple who organizes, collects and delivers clothes for the Consignment for YANA project. It was a big success in 2013 and she continues with this project in 2014. Visit her Facebook page Consignment for YANA to learn more.

Ongoing thanks to the parishioners at The Lady of the Sacred Heart Chapel who are regular donors to YANA.

The Westerly Hotel prepared a lovely Harvest Long Table event for 40 lucky people while donating partial proceeds to YANA in honor of Ruby Poirier.

Teachers Doreen Stride and Jan Maund and their kindergarten classes hosted a turkey lunch for 100 in early October at Miracle Beach School. Proceeds from the lunch were donated to YANA and will go directly to helping families in the Comox Valley.

Dr. Colleen Clancy and her staff participate in a weekly Jean’s Day throughout the year. Funds raised were enthusiastically given to YANA.

Thanks to Santa who spread cheer at the Courtenay Fire Department’s Christmas party and asked that his fee be donated to YANA. What a generous, jolly old elf!

Eric’s Appliance Repair gave a Christmas donation, thank you for showing you care.

Glacier View Retirees continue to help with donations from their group.  Thank you!

Yoga for YANA saw some enthusiastic participants stretching with Deb Ralston at The Little Red Church.  A great combination of exercise and help for local families.
